What each box on the template is
Roblox folds the flat template around a blocky body. Each box is one face of a body part, seen from outside.

Tips for a clean Roblox template
- 1Match the edges. Where two boxes meet on the body, their edge colors should match, or you’ll see a seam.
- 2Keep art inside the boxes. Anything outside them is never shown.
- 3Use transparency on purpose. Transparent areas show the avatar’s skin: handy for crop tops or sleeveless shirts.
- 4Test before you upload. Roblox charges 80 Robux per upload, so check it on a 3D avatar first.

Questions
What size is the Roblox shirt template?
585×559 pixels, the same for shirts and pants. T-shirts are a square image instead, such as 512×512.
Can I use the blank template for free?

What’s the difference between the shirt and pants template?
They share one layout. On a shirt the lower boxes are the arms; on pants they are the legs. The top boxes are the torso on both.
Why are parts of my shirt missing on the avatar?
Anything outside the boxes is never shown, and transparent areas show the avatar’s skin. Keep your art inside the boxes.
